You can't beat them, so join them. I really do not know whether there was a time when pumpkin spice was a thing in its own right, but it certainly became one when a well-known coffee chain launched its latte in the now distant 2003. From then on, we have drunk, sniffed, eaten, and burned pumpkin spice in all guises. The Casa Saffron version is heavy on spices with a creamy undercurrent. It smells spiked if you can imagine a perfect blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg underpinned by the sweetness of milk. As far as I am concerned, pumpkin is for life, not just for autumn.
